Hi,
how to re run the failed patches alone? i dont want to repatch the patched machines as it will pop up with Message for the succeeded machines.
also how can i check why patch error occured ? I could only find ERROR, no error codes or reason under
Security Patching Detect/Deploy Status of the machine
Schedule Last Run | Device Status Date | Current Phase | |

If machines in the patching cycle don't need any patches installed then they should not receive a pop-up. That does depend on how your notifications are configured, but it should be possible. You also need to reset the patch tries on the machines that failed.

how can i reset patch tries for couple of machines?

Any reason why you would only want to reset tries for a subset of machines? If not, reset tries for patches by going to Security > Catalog, select checkbox next to patch(es), then click Choose Action > Reset Tries - JasonEgg 7 years ago

Go to the specific patch's detail page by going to Security > Catalog then clicking a patch name (You may first have to click on a specific package). Then scroll to the "Deployment Status" section of that page and click "Error". A lot of the times, the errors are not descriptive enough to know what actually went wrong. But I've seen plenty of computers fail a patch a few times and then later succeed. Set your patch tries high and if you notice computers that never patch maybe investigate them further. But don't try to track down and analyze every single "FAIL (80)".
