iDRAC implementation in Kace

Is there anyway to incorporate the use of iDRAC in Kace 1000 for server management? The iDRACs are seen in on the inventory for a device, but that only provided LifeCycle Controller information and firmware.

I'd like to see Kace be able to pull out the IP address of the iDRAC on the server inventory page. And at least a link to open the iDRAC page. Of course, additional items would be great as well.

Thanks,

Dave

you can inventory the iDRAC controller via SNMP or WinRM as an agentless device, But take care, the iDRAC 6 series have problems with SNMP, so that this wont be possible.

we´d tried it also, but it wasn´t working because of the firmware version of the iDRAC 6. This version will not get a new firmware version anymore.

If you use SNMP, try to run a full SNMP walk with the MIB Browser to get the right OID´s.

If you have OMSA installed, you can use the 'racadm getniccfg' command in a custom inventory rule to return the iDRAC IP to inventory.
