K1000 backups?

Did something change in the KACE SMA (K1000) backups between 13.0.384 and 13.1.79?

I have our SMA configured to offboard nightly backups using the Samba protocol to a file share on another server.

Before I ever do any kind of upgrade to the SMA, I will use 7Zip to test the .tgz archive to make sure I have a viable backup just in case something goes sideways. (I've been burned before, so I'm paranoid. :-) )

Previous to upgrading to 13.1.79, 7zip would test the archive and report back if there were any errors. Now that I've upgraded to 13.1.79, 7zip will error out after about 60 seconds stating that it can't open the file as a [gzip] archive.

I've even upgraded 7Zip to the latest version, with no change.

Any thoughts of comments would be appreciated.

You may want to first verify that the backups were successful. Navigate to Settings -> Logs -> Backup log to verify completion status.

The backup files are now signed for added security. See release the notes for your version.  I believe that there maybe a KB article on this topic.
