Laptops
I'm currently deploying S/W via GPO using MSI and MST files.
I have several laptops in the org. - I can only imagine all the problems that could arise during a deployment.
I have laptop users that work 50% remote via VPN link. How can I control the deployment not to happen when users are remote, but only when local..... (or am I loco....:) )
Any other advice you have about GPO's and Laptops would be grateful. I'm currently building a strategy for all laptop users. I'm thinking that I need to have a second set of GPO's specific to laptop users.

You can set slow link policy behavior (and bandwidth threasholds). The effect will be policy skipping if the link bandwidth is below set value. Look under machine settings > Admin Templates > System > Group Policy
Word of caution: it's not bullet-proof. The bandwidth is not your real bandwidth, instead it's the media rating (makes difference if you have PC going over WAN vs PC connected to LAN, and then LAN going over WAN)
