MeetingPlace 5.3 install with SMS
I'm having trouble getting this install to work. I am pushing Meetingplace 5.3 to Outlook 2007. I am using SMS 2003 SP3. I am using a compressed copy of the source directory. My command line is simply:
setup.exe
I am not using any switches, although I would like to if possible. First I need to get it to install. The SMS logs gives me a 10070 error and tells me that it has run for 720 minutes and then it fails. The install runs Hidden, whether or not a user is logged in, with program notifications suppressed.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like the install is hanging at a dialog box or prompt which cannot be answered since SMS is set to "Hidden."
My suggestion is to first test your package manually to find the switch(es) that truly silence it. I've noted that some setup.exe programs don't always work with the usual switches, so find what works manually first. Then try the same command line in SMS. I prefer to use switches rather than "Hidden" as some programs do not work with "Hidden" within SMS.
If the command line you used to silence it manually doesn't work in SMS (it usually does work), then you can troubleshoot by deploying the program in SMS as a user-initiated install to see where things are going wrong.

10070 File handle reference is no longer available.
I'm not sure what that means but here's a link that I like to use for error codes

Well, I figured out part of the problem. I was pushing the package to 2 users that had Exchange Admin Pack, which I believe is incompatible with MeetingPlace. There seems to be a missing .dll that causes an error.
However, after that I have tried pushing it to other machines and I am still getting a timeout error after a day. Interestingly, it did work on a Vista machine.
I have eliminated the extra switches and am only using "Setup.exe /silent". I turned off other hidden stuff and I am now attempting to push the package in a non-compressed form, but it looks like it is not working?
Any other ideas?
