Non - Administrative Patches and GPO
Does any one know?
To apply a Patch
I have made an Installation MSI with a Product called Microsoft C5 version 4.0 this is intended to be installed as a Computer package
But to finalize the installation I need to create users in the program when they use the program for the first time.
This requires administrative rights which they don't have. [:(]
My plan was to make an Administrative Patch including a custom action and use of the new functionality of Windows installer 3.0
MsiDigitalCertificate table
But what about the criteria’s for this to work:
The line "The application was installed from a removable media such as a CD-ROM or DVD."
Will it be a problem when the main install is rolled out as GPO from a DFS SHARE?
I mean who installs?? By CD-ROM DVD any more
Sweede ;-)
