Odd Error Code
Using SMS 2003 I deployed Silverlight 4.0.50917.0 to 5 test machines. 4 of them ran it without issue. On one machine however it failed. In the Status Messages it says this:
Possible cause: Systems Management Server (SMS) determines status for each program it executes. If SMS cannot find or correlate any installation status Management Information Format (MIF) files for the program, it uses the program's exit code to determine status. An exit code of 1516 is considered a failure.
Solution: For more information on the exit code, refer to the documentation for the program you are distributing.
I Googled this error and I did see one hit for Silverlight failing on Windows 7 x64 but my failed machine is a Windows XP workstation. And from what I've read on this site http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa368542(VS.85).aspx there is no 1516 error code.
Now, when I had SMS run Sliverlight I passed Silverlight a /q for a silent error but does it not spawn a .msi? Has anyone seen this before?
