Packaging Certifications ??
What if any packaging related certifications do you have or are you currently pursuing ?
If you have had any in the past have you found them helpful in your current job or getting new jobs ?
I know that Altiris had a packaging cert but I think it's retired or on hold since symantec took it over.
I have an MCSE but no specific package related certs myself. I have more than 10 years experience in IT and several years packaging.
I look forward to your replies with your comments.
Thanks [8|]

Yes, the old Altiris exam/s have been retired since the Symantec take over, I believe however that if you're already in possesion of the "old" WPS certs that you can still get that accredited. I'm sure that there will be another exam for WPS in the future, but at this time, I myself am still waiting for updates.

good question. the problem I saw with the wise cert test was that it was extremely wise-specific and there was no way I saw to pass it other than taking one of the very expensive wise training classes...(or memorize all the help fies for the wise suite). Maybe I'm just dumb, but I didn't see a lot of relevance. If you learn the basics, understand the concept of windows installer as a relational database, and other related skills like scripting, it's a lot more valuable than any certification. I've not seen a lot of demand for it from employers either (MCSE much more marketable)
