Registry change for Internet Settings

Hi All,

I am making some changes in the registry to changes some group policy settings for the Security Zone and Content Ratings.

To do it manually

1. Run, type gpedit.msc
2. Drill down to User Configuration / Internet Explorer / Security 3. Open Security Zones and Content ratings 4. Choose Import current security zones and privacy settings 5. Click modify settings 6. Select the local intranet 7. Choose custom level and change the following to enable a. Download signed ActiveX controls b. Download unsigned ActiveX controls c. Initalize and Script Active X controls not marked as safe d. Run ActiveX controls and plugins e. Script Active X controls marked as safe for scripting f. Access data sources across domains g. Active Scripting h. Scripting of Java applets 8. Choose OK and answer YES to the query Are you sure you want to change the security settings for this zone.

I am going to create a vb script to do this manually, does anyone know where in the registry I need to change to get this done.

Cheers

Check the GPO reference - it should show regvalues per GPO setting. Also opening the ADM files will give you exact location and values to each setting.

Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
