SCCM test

We are testing SCCM and it will eventually replace SMS. I have a test machine ready to go. My question is, how can I join my test machine to the domain without it picking up the SMS client in our logon script?

Thanks,

AW

andwhite,

Surely you just add the machine to the domain and remove the logon script from the user account you're logging in with.

Am I missing something here?

Thanks,

Unless by "login script" he also means GPO scripts which companies at times tend to think is all one in the same...at which point you'd have to make sure your test machine doesn't receive any of the policies...all easily done either way :).

I think he might mean a startup script or GPO deployment.

Create a test OU in Active Directory and block policy inheritance. When you join the machine to the domain, shut down, don't restart.
In AD, move the machine object to the new OU. Once it is in place, start your test PC and you should get nothing from GPO, be it start up scripts or GPO.
