Service Desk Custom Field "Manager"

I have created a custom field in the service desk so that we can see the users manager. but it brings in the whole OU path: CN=Firstname Surname,OU=Folder,DC=Domain,DC=corp

Is there anyway to change this so it only dsiplays to firstname & Surname of that persons manager?

How are you populating the custom field? Are you using a rule?

  • On Step 2 of 3 i have "Custom 1:" set to "manager"

    which is the LDAP "Attributes to retrieve:" - chris.poston 11 years ago

    • Sorry, I thought you had a custom field in a service desk queue, not one of the custom fields for the user. I'm not aware of any way to trim the output from the LDAP query to include just the CN portion. - chucksteel 11 years ago
