Visio Viewer 2003 msi problem - resolved
Sorry (moderators) if I have posted this in the incorrect section, if I have, please move it to correct section.
Application: Microsoft Visio Viewer 2003
Package Link: http://itninja.com/link/packaging-the-citrix-metaframe-client-install-by-joe-thompson,-foxware-design5
Problem Detail
There is currently a problem whereby you cannot distribute this MSI through Active Directory as no file extensions are listed when you publish vviewer.msi. This means that no action is taken when your end users double click a .vsd file, for example. Please see the comment by "MrWumpus" for more detail.
Resolution
I have spent quite a while hacking away at the MSI and have created a package that now lists all of the visio extensions, registers them and now when your user double clicks a Visio file type (.vsd etc), it installs the viewer. This means you no longer need to go around to 1000's of machines and Add/Remove programs, this saves hours and hours of tiresome work.
Download
As this will only affect the minority out there, I haven't uploaded it to a website. Instead, if you require this package, please post below.
This package is UNSUPPORTED by Microsoft and should not be contacted regarding support for this package in any way whatsoever.
