We have K2000 version 4.x and after imaging no drivers are installed
We have been successfully using an image deployed from our K2000 server to our Dell E7450 laptops running Win 7 64 bit.
We are now trying to deploy the that image to our new E7470 laptops. The deploys successfully but after reboot not drivers are installed. This means no NIC , USB drivers installed so we are dead in the water as I can't install any drivers. The E7470 driver are present on the K2000.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,
I would make sure that the latest version is installed on the K2000 by comparing them to the one listed at http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/enterprise-client/w/wiki/11830.latitude-e7470-windows-7-driver-pack. Does the version showing on the K2000 match the A03 version?
If not I would recommend un-install the drivers, go to Manage Driver Feed Settings and then check for updates. Once they show to be the same version re-download them to the appliance.
If the above is correct, then it may not be installing due to the KBE being incorrect (ie: using WINPE10 Driver Pack and ADK 10 to build). If the image is from a physical system perhaps there are ghost drivers conflicting with the ones being installed.
You can test the driver deployment by copying the contents of the feed_tools to the \\ikbox\petemp location, this is T: drive when booted into the KBE. Navigate to Recovery and Command Prompt, then T: and run the driver_feed_discovery_tool or copy_drivers_debug to test if the path is correct and has the correct model. If not make sure the BIOS is up to date.
Hope this helps resolve the issue.

Hi
I would suggest following
1. Install Windows 7 manually or by Kace to your E7470 Laptop.
2. Install all the missing drivers manually.
3. Update all the drivers manually, if required.
4. Once you satisfied with all the drivers (that Device Manager does not show any warning or errors)
5. This directory contains all the drivers that system needs C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository
6. Copy all the folders of above Directory to your KACE 2x \\K2000\drivers_postinstall by creating appropriate directory for OS, Model.
7. Run following vbs file on your E7470 Laptop. It will show you the exact path, that must exist on K2000.
\\<your_k2000_box>\drivers_postinstall\feed_tools\driver_feed_discovery_tool.vbs
8. Recache all drivers, wait for couple of minutes and then retry your OS deployment. It should install all the drivers perfectly.
You can follow this method for any other Makes & Models and for Windows 7 or Windows 10.
