Wise Package Studio Server Setup
Just curious...
We're purchasing Wise Package Studio Pro in the coming weeks and I was wondering if anyone had recommendations of what type of machine to use as the server. We're a fairly small shop, so only I and one other guy will be doing the repackaging from a central location. I was thinking of just using a beefed-up workstation to do the job. We also intend to utilize the QA module, so I'll need to install SQL on the box as well.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Cheers.

I use package studio at work where we have a team of about 10-15 packagers. The only requirements you really need to worry about is bandwidth and disk space. Because Wise stores your packages and source files on the sharepoint server the diskspace can fill up quicker than expected. And as far as I know Wise doesn't have any archive or cleanup function to remove old packages. Although Wise does a great job of only uploading files that don't already exist on the server, its method of storing them make it difficult to remove old files at a later time. It's still a great solution though.
The bandwidth is important just because it will save on time while uploading and compiling from the server. A beefed up workstation should be fine for processing\mem\ and disk speed.
