Deploying Adobe Acrobat Using K1000

Im deploying Adobe acrobat Pro X using the K1000 as a managed install which works (v10.0.0) However, when i install the update which is an .msp file. it updates the version to 10.1.1 but the kbox then thinks that v10.0.0 doesn't exist any more so tries to reinstall the main install (v10.0.0) again.

How can i have the main install and the update as Managed Installs with any issues?

Hope this makes sense!

I have not installed Adobe X yet, but you should be able to inlcude the 10.1.1 patch as part of the 10.0.0 install (with Adobe Reader 9 it was just a matter of a "PATCH=" line in the SETUP.INI), zip it all up together, and then associate that ZIP file with 10.1.1 instead of 10.0.0

  • Thanks. Used the PATCH= command in the install command and this worked. - mattygarland 10 years ago
    • And to add to this... you only need the latest patch which is currently 10.1.9. With X they are all inclusive finally! - worzie 10 years ago

This is a tricky situation and the best solution I have found is to remove the machines from the 10.0.0 distribution once it is has been installed.
