How to run a Silent Uninstall for Office 2013 64-bit in K1000?
I am looking for directions how to do set up a silent uninstall for Office 2013 64-bit in K1000. I have been using the Office Uninstaller tool from MIcrosoft's website, but we will be rolling out Office 365 in the next few months so I wanted to get this set up for a quick push to remove it. I have been using KACE for over a year now, but I am now new to creating scripts / distributions.
When running this command next:
This is the path on the machines: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15
Please let me know if any other information is needed. Thank you.
Edit: After playing around a bit I created the silent uninstall .xml from https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc178956.aspx
I put it in this path C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\OFFICE15\Office Setup Controller\STANDARD
When running this command next:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\OFFICE15\Office Setup Controller\setup.exe /uninstall Standard /config C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\OFFICE15\Office Setup Controller\STANDARD\SilentUninstallConfig.xml
I have my Office 2013 Standard setup.exe along with the standard.ww folder with the config.xml file saved to a network location.
So still stuck on getting this to work / adding it in K1000

In a nutshell,
- Download and install the MS Customization Tool.
- Run it to create a MSP File that includes the License number, features, and anything you would like to run before or after the install. IT will automatically remove any old copies of MS Office, so , no need to remove it yourself.
- Download any MS Office Updates you would wish to include and save them to the Updates Folder.
- Zip the contents
- create Managed Install using something like: "setup.exe /adminfile MSO_2016.MSP"
hope that helps,

Isreal, This works to an extent. I created my MSP and when I execute the command it leaves InfoPath and Office Tools still installed on the system. Because of this it still shows that Office 2013 is installed. How can I add a command line or something that will eliminate everything? - kkullot 5 years ago

kkullot, you may need to resort to SetupProd_OffScrub.exe

Offscrub is a good option, but here's the issues I see. When I run Offscrub on a pc after 2016 is installed it wants to repair the installation of 2016 before it opens. Is that normal? If I uninstall 2013 and then install 2016 would I lose users' settings they have set and they'd have to redo? - kkullot 5 years ago

Id o believe all settings would be kept in the Users Profile, but could be wrong.
It's a good place to check and or ProgramData. - IDeLeon007 5 years ago
