Is there a way to pin Office 2016 and 2013 shortcuts to task bar and start menu Windows 10 and Windows 7

I am trying to create a post install task for both Windows 7 and Windows 10 that will pin Office Short Cuts to the task bar and start menu. I found this https://www.itninja.com/question/is-there-anyway-to-pin-shortcuts-to-the-toolbar-or-start-menu-for-all-user-profiles-in-windows-7-k2000 already but when I run this task it does not pin the items. The task completes, but the shortcuts are not there. I would like to just pin Word, Excel and PowerPoint nothing else.

I don't think that you will find a way to have one script that works for both Windows 7 and Windows 10. Windows 7 used folders for the start menu and taskbar, but Windows 10 uses XML for at least parts. Here are some links that might help:
