K2000 wim image capture - Not enough space on drive but won't see external USB
I have a laptop that only has a 128GB hard disk. It currently has 50GB free but the K2000 says it needs to have 70GB free to do the image capture.
I've attached a 1TB external drive to the laptop so that it can use that but it refuses to see it.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? What format should the drive be?
Help.
Regards,
Ashby Hope.

Any large programs (CAD) installed? Those are usually best done as post tasks. - TheAustinDave 7 years ago

It's not sysprep'd as it will only be used on this machine so decided to keep it simple (In theory).
I'm not too worried about making the image smaller, the bit that I cannot understand is why it won't see the external drive. All the KB articles I've seen suggest that if you attach an external drive then it will find it and store the temporary image on there before pushing up to the K2000. However when it realises there isn't space on the C:\ drive, it scans to find somewhere else to store it but does not see the external drive.
What am I missing for it to see that external drive? - ashbyhope 7 years ago
