K1000 Knowledge Base Permissions

Hello All,

We just started using the knowledge base to save ourselves time. Is there a way to split the KB articles up based on labels? For instance, could I restrict articles that are more technical and sometimes even confidential in nature to certain persons?

thanks

Creating and using User Labels is a way to limit access for other users. You can base the User Label groups on AD Groups by creating an LDAP Label. See the admin guide for more info on this. You can find the admin guide by logging into the Admin console. Go to Settings => Support => Select Administrator Guide under K1000 Series Documentation.

  • Thanks for your help. I completely overlooked the 'Limit Access to user labels' option. - Kevino2010 11 years ago
    • I've looked and looked and looked, so I guess I overlooked too. Can't find this setting for Knowledge Base articles anywhere. - MichaelMc 9 years ago
      • To clarify... I can assign a label to KB article. This does not seem to do anything at all to restrict the KB article. All users, regardless of label, still seem to have access. - MichaelMc 9 years ago
