Next verison release date for K1000

I was wondering when the next version release was going to come out and do we know for sure if it is going to have secure POP3 support. I am using Office 365 and have not had email functionality with Kace boxes since Februrary and I do not think I can hold out much longer. I may be forced to look else where if I do not get at lease some general date on the release.

Answer Summary:
The 5.4 ETA has been Q4 for quite some time now. I don't recall the summer of 2012 ever being mentioned. While 5.4 will have SPOP support you can use SPOP today with 5.3.53053 (latest release of 5.3) if you contact support and obtain a patch. I suspect the bigger problem for you though is outbound mail. Office365 (bpos right?) can be configured to relay email for you but it will require a secure, authenticated connection. 5.4 will not support secure-SMTP. Anecdotally, I have gotten secure-SMTP to work directly with Gmail and providers that do not require the authentication twice. I don't know why BPOS requires that. If it's a gmail solution you seek then contact support and we may be able to help you with gmail. However, you still have two options to get outbound to work: 1.Have your kbox send directly to the internet. Get an mx record for your kbox and allow it to be a valid sender for helpdesk@company.com (as an example) 2.Although not directly support the good news is that you can get any email solution to work with the K1000 by using a SMTP intermediary like a virtual SMTP server. In the K1000 <-> BPOS you would have this: K1000<-unauthenticated SMTP over port 25 -> Virtual SMTP server* <- authenticate over whatever port-> BPOS/Office365/Anything *the virtual SMTP server would be something that you control. I talked to support about this around a month or 2 ago and they said hopefully sometime this summer. Maybe you can ping support about this and see if they have a better time frame.
