Tried increasing the session timeout in KACE 1000 to more than 1 hour, but the session still times out ~1 hour. What's causing this?

Hello, under K1000 General Settings, I've increased the timeout to 12 hours, but what we have noticed is that, after an hour or so, we are still ending up having to log back in again. Is this due to the KACE timeout not working correctly, or something else? What do you guys think is causing this?

I appreciate all the help we can get.

Thanks.

Just saw the update here - mine started at some version of 5.1 (whatever the K1100 shipped with).  From there, I applied updates as follows:

5.2.38773
5.2.38773 Consolidated 20110310
5.2.38773 Consolidated 20110607 v2
5.3.45496
5.3.45497
5.3.47927
5.3.53053
5.3 64-bit samba

If you need any further info, please advise.

Thanks!

  • Yes, there seems to be an issue with session timeout from some upgrade path.

It would be helpful if you can let us know from what previous versions were your K1000 upgraded to current version.

Same for my K1000, for what it's worth.  Feels like a bug to me, but I'm wondering if it might be related to other users' sessions timing out causing everyone to be logged out.  Personally, I didn't notice this so much when I was the only one logging in.

We're on 5.3.53053 as well, only upgraded from the version immediately before this, which is what our virtual appliance was downloaded with.  I have the system set to an 8 hour timeout, but I'm still getting kicked out in what seems to be less than an hour.  Any updates on this?

Well i think it seems bug for KACE KBOX, i have been using kbox Kace 1000 since kbox 5.0 version and we have set session timeout to 1 hour but our session mostly timeout after 20 - 30 minutes.

Currently we are using KBOX KACE v5.3.53053
