Did you mean runkbot.exe? They both do the same thing. I use runkbot while at the machine to force an update usually for testing. When testing I generally use "runkbot.exe 6 0".

Kbot is a generic term for any script and Inventory task refers to the script which performs Inventory

Well actually i am refering to the task progress shown for the tasks, namely "kbot task" and "inventory task". If kbot retruns the inventory then why the inventory task is mentioned seperatly....

Kbot task is for every task which are currently running or need to run for inventory , to force manage install .

Inventory task is part of kbot and is only limited to inventory gathering.
